Amazon Prime Video’s latest campaign displays the consequences of excellent television, with the tag line 'Great shows stay with you'. The films by Droga5 London, directed by Steve Rogers, show routine people adopting brazen new attitudes into their daily life, inspired directly from the TV show they watched the previous evening.
In the first film, an office worker impersonates an Indiana Jones-esque action sequence in her bid for the last cupcake. Goldstein's score is a playful nod to the cinematic nature of hum-drum activities - while finding the balance between comic delusions of grandeur, and a sincere passion that we’re all capable of.
In the second film, a man delivers a guttural, impassioned pep-talk to a table football team-mate in front of a scandalised children’s birthday party. The score finds a delicate balance between genuine new-found passion, and the farcical cinematic conduct these people have adopted while under the influence of their favourite TV shows.
