Raucous Content is thrilled to welcome director/DP Gregory Mitnick to its expanding roster of talent. Renowned for his signature docu-style that blends raw emotion with playful charm, Gregory has redefined how brands connect with audiences on a human level. Formerly of directing duo Peking, Gregory has crafted award-winning narratives for the biggest brands, such as Apple, Google, and Disney, as well as for bold newcomers and rabble-rousers like Boppy, Texas-based Favor, and video game developer Supercell.

"We are beyond excited to welcome Greg to the Raucous Content family,” shared founder/EP Steve Wi. “His distinctive voice and unparalleled skill in blending genuine emotion with engaging storytelling make him a perfect fit for our roster.”

With an MFA in Film Production from NYU, Gregory has directed over 100 short-form docs for influential platforms like “The New York Times” and “The Atlantic,” setting the stage for his commercial filmmaking career. His work includes the award-winning Skype film “Born Friends,” which earned a Silver Cannes Lions and a spot in “Time” Magazine’s top five commercials of the year. Gregory’s versatility shines in recent campaigns for Care.com (Hubbub), the heartwarming, drone-forward film “Sky’s the Limit” with Amazon/Illumination, and Favor’s latest epic “Texpat Rescue Mission” (Preacher).

“Directing docu-style spots is the greatest pleasure, because no matter how much I prepare or plan, it’s the surprises that I’m truly after – all the non-scripted twists, the wild outbursts, the knowing glances. It’s the rich, raw emotion of real life and relationships that make this genre so impactful for brands. We immerse ourselves in the lives of others, and we share new perspectives with huge audiences. Let’s get it!” shared Gregory. “I’m feeling blessed to join Steve and Raucous’ amazing roster, and I’m excited to continue to evolve the craft alongside talented friends and collaborators.”

Beyond traditional advertising, Gregory has significantly contributed to political and social campaigns including the Cannes Lions-shortlisted Doritos “No Choice” spot and the “Wake Up And Vote” ad for the Biden/Harris campaign. Gregory’s recent long-form films include A Day at the Speedway (2023) and 10 Dollar Toilet Seat (2024), which began its festival run at the 42nd Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival.

The latest projects from Raucous content directors include: Director Amy Nicholson’s documentary “Happy Campers,” which premiered at DOC NYC, had a successful run at the IFC Center, and is now available on Apple TV+. Director Kiran Koshy’s short film “KUMAR KUMAR” is screening this month at Shorts By The Sea, an Oscar-qualifying festival. The film is also a selection in the International South Asian Film Festival Canada, which screens later this month. Additionally, Kiran's music video “The Trail” for Detroit Indie-Rock artist Sergio Gaetani was shortlisted at the Berlin Commercial Festival. Lastly, “The Prompt Bias,” directed by SALSA, explores the biases of Generative AI platforms, shining a light on how these platforms can reflect deeper societal and historical prejudices.
