As Halloween cheer and décor extended well beyond homes coming out of the pandemic, Honda saw an opportunity to move beyond the doorstep and onto the driveway. Honda is a brand about bringing joy and fun experiences to life, so what better way to spread joy this Halloween than by getting vehicles in on the celebration.

This trick or treat season Honda Canada is upping the Halloween factor on 15 driveways across Canada with three limited edition Carstumes including Hallowheels, a mischievous pumpkin, Parkula the Dracula and Zoombie the Zombie. Honda is inviting fans to get in on the fun by participating in an Instagram contest happening from October 15th- 18th for a chance to win their very own Carstume.

To enter, Honda fans simply need to follow the Honda Canada Instagram page and comment on the content post which Carstume they like best and tag two mischievous mates who they think would like the Carstumes too. The contest is open to Canadian residents of legal majority age.

“It has been incredible watching Honda Carstumes come to life, as we hope to bring the joy of Honda to communities across Canada," said Nathan Muir, senior manager, sales and marketing. "This fun, eerie campaign came from an interesting realisation during the pandemic; Halloween decorations can extend beyond the home and into the yard and driveway, yet cars were often overlooked. Halloween is a time for creativity, and this is a cheeky way for Honda to engage with our fans in a way that is perfectly fitting for the season. The Carstume designs are imaginative, custom made to fit the Honda CR-V and Civic models, or as a collectors item, and will bring any driveway or curb to life."

Scott Tavener, creative director, Dentsu Creative, “Halloween's the biggest walking occasion of the year, so cars always take a backseat - but Honda Carstumes will change that. People already dress up everything, from pets to houses, so why not cars? That's where the idea came from. Carstumes will hopefully carve out a space and haunt driveways across the country this Halloween."
