Worldwide VFX outsourcing platform Hotspring, has announced a significant new addition to its production team with the appointment of Rishika Das as assistant producer across from MPC. Bringing over five years of experience in Film and TV production, Rishika's expertise is set to enhance Hotspring's ability to deliver exceptional results for clients across its core services.
Rishika began her career as a production coordinator at Anibrain, where she managed the outsource team with remarkable skill and dedication. She then transitioned to DNeg, contributing to the successful management of the compositing team. Her journey continued at MPC, where she expanded her expertise into Film and TV Production, overseeing entire projects with precision and creativity.
The announcement comes on the heels of Hotspring's recent launch of its innovative machine learning (ML) powered work-in-progress rotoscoping tool, Slapshot. Built in-house, Slapshot is available as a free add-on to the Hotspring platform. It enables users to quickly create rotoscoping works in progress (WIP) at any resolution for live VFX pipelines, significantly accelerating creative collaboration.
Hotspring has collaborated with several leading VFX studios to test Slapshot and gather real-world feedback from VFX artists. Studios including Electric Theatre Collective (ETC), Herne Hill Media, and Untold Studios have all tested the Slapshot product, elevating and speeding up the creative process.
Some of Hotspring’s recent creative highlights include TV Series - Paramount Plus ‘Knuckles’. Commercials - Coca Cola ‘Masterpiece’ and Audible, Feature Films ‘Maestro’ and ‘The First Omen’, Direct To Brand ‘Burberry x Minecraft’ collab and Arsenal ‘CALM’ amongst others.
