If you listen to the song “Let’s Go!,” you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s an addicting new indie hit. But it’s not... except for the addicting part. It’s the result of a musical collaboration for Hydro Flask, with the goal to write and record the perfect adventuring soundtrack — in one day.
The track was created by musicians Laura Gibson and Dave Depper from Bend, Oregon, the home of Hydro Flask. The concept was the idea of Portland OR-based creative agency North, which has long been a part of the Pacific Northwest indie music scene.
“Let’s Go!” is a complex song that embodies the roaming spirit of Hydro Flask fans. It seems simple, but it was the result of some happy musical accidents, like melodies that overlap and desk-tapping that turns into a shaker sound.
“Hydro Flask's rather passionate fans love the brand like a favorite song. So it goes, we asked some extremely talented, outdoor-loving songwriters to make an actual song the fans could fall in love with,” says Mark Ray chief marketing officer at North.
