With a beautiful piece of visual storytelling Hyundai introduces the latest addition to their model range: the all-new KONA line-up with the KONA Electric as the hero. A car that with its advanced features and extended electrical range urges you to “Live Unlimited”.
The centrepiece of the campaign is a 48” long film that was produced together with Danish film director Nicolai Fuglsig in collaboration with Sterntag and MJZ.
The film tells the story of a young boy called “Noah” who gets lost in play with his toy KONA and imagines a world where anything is possible. Inspired by the daily magic he experiences in the actual KONA on the rides with his mother.
“The all-new KONA comes packed with a range of innovative features that give you almost endless possibilities. A fact that we wanted to communicate with this campaign in an exciting way. And what is more exciting than diving into the imagination of a child? All based on our Hyundai Brand Spirit that people’s potential is limitless.” said Laura Rathai, director marketing, Hyundai Motor Europe.
One visual element that stands out is the seamless spinning movement of the KONA. The practical effect was achieved by putting the car on a turning platform that was specifically built for the shot and resembles the way kids push their toy cars during play.
“Imagination is magical, we wanted to give the feeling of a kid playing with a toy car, and we had to find a way to make the car move, like it does in the hands of a child.” said Nicolas Fuglsig, director.
The integrated 360˚ campaign will run in all relevant markets across Europe with a multitude of assets, from 3D OOH to social media specials all celebrating the feeling of living a life without limitations.
