This powerful message was turned into a heartwarming film by director Joel Kefali and Good Oil. The star of the commercial is a Schnauzer Jack Russell x New Zealand Heading Dog called Winnie. Winnie was adopted from a shelter three years ago.
“Lots of kids dream of getting a dog. We thought it would be powerful to show the other side of that story. While we dream of a life with a dog, a shelter dog dreams of a life with us.” Says Simon Vicars, chief creative officer, Colenso BBDO.
“Working with the team at Colenso and my very talented crew to realise Dream Maker was a privilege. The old adage ‘never work with children and animals’ definitely doesn’t ring true this time,” reflects Joel.
Dream Maker has launched in Mexico and will roll out globally.
