john st. announces its new creative leader along with new business wins since her arrival early September

After a thoughtful and extensive search, john st is excited to announce that they have hired Krystle Mullin as chief creative officer. 

Krystle was most recently executive creative director at Edelman leading global accounts for HP and lululemon; prior to that she was VP creative director at RPA in Los Angeles running the Honda, Amazon Prime Video, Cedars-Sinai and La-Z-Boy accounts.

Krystle’s background builds a foundation for multi-disciplinary creative for the future of our agency. With a wealth of experience across brand advertising, but also strong recent experience at Edelman across earned and PR, as well as roots in data-centric creative work from her time at FBC/SIX, john st. is poised for a very strong future,” says Ally Ballantyne, president of john st. 

Krystle started with john st. beginning of September jumping into client work and has already helped the agency to win two exciting new pieces of business. In 2019 Mullin was named to Ad Week’s Creative 100 List and honoured as one of Canada’s Top Ten Creative Directors by Strategy Magazine. Her work has been recognised by Cannes Lions, The One Show, The Clios and D&AD, among others.

Krystle served on the Mobile Lions jury at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2019 and in 2016 she was one of 14 women from around the world selected by Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity to participate in See it, Be It, a career accelerator program for women in the advertising community. Most recently she was the keynote speaker at the Cannes Lions 'See it, Be it' conference in July. She has also participated as a speaker at the 3% Conference whose mission is to correct the underrepresentation of women in senior roles in advertising.
