With the unveiling of their brand new website on Monday, Joshua Tree started the week on a high note. The freshly minted website came together after two months of labor with inputs and ideas being fed in by every single member of the team. Click here to view the new site.
“We have been in business for over three and a half years now and it was time to change the look and put something fresh out there for people to see. Having grown considerably in the last three years, we wanted the website to showcase the same both in terms of the work done and the overall expansion. Hence the idea for a new website,” says Joshua Upputuru, founder and executive producer of the company.
The design has changed considerably with this one being visual heavy and stylish. The revamped site is easy to navigate and talks about the team, the directors that the company represents and showcases Joshua Tree’s work for the visitors.
“Our design brief was very clear and simple. We wanted the branding of Joshua Tree to stay but at the same time, the design needed to be eye catching and effective. The point was that anyone who visited our site should get an idea of who we are and what we do, just by going through the pages. This, we think, has been achieved with the new entity,” elaborates Upputuru.
The home page slider has been used to create a narrative of sorts with images from the company’s films for appeal. A more global look is what was aimed at, given that the company represents a number of talented international directors. The individual work of the directors has been showcased along with their bios to create a platform where visitors can get a sense of the variety and talent these directors bring to the table.
The new website is part of the company’s larger marketing plan for better visibility and reach in the market. A first in the line on many such initiatives, the website is meant to be the starting step towards the launch of a new promotional strategy.
