One of the undisputable legends of the automobile world, Jaguar, has teamed up with one of the world-leaders in high-speed & macro filmmaking, JSA’s own Steve Downer.
This latest film sets out to answer the intriguing question: how do you visualize sound? Using a combination of engineering, science and art, the filmmaker does just that. With the help of Cymatics and some Chladni Plates the director made the roar of the motor resonate to the frequency of the sound, with grains visualising the changing wave patterns. This, combined with some beautiful camera work creates a spot that will have any auto-enthusiasts salivating.
The release of a new super-car is an emotional experience for many, so this powerful and sophisticated approach is the perfect way to showcase the high-intensity of this incredible car.
The TVC was directed & lit by Steve Downer using a Milo Long Arm Motion Control rig at Jaguars’ famous testing facility in Gaydon, Oxfordshire.
