Justin's, the brand known for its delicious nut butters and organic chocolate candy, light-hearted, do-gooder personality, and commitment to impacting the world in a positive and meaningful way, has launched a month-long campaign in collaboration with its marketing partners Barkley, Arc, and SchroderHaus. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of pollinators in our food system, the current plight they are faced with, and what Justin’s is doing to help.
The new campaign, "1-in-3 Bites Pollinator Project," highlights the alarming statistic that 1 in 3 bites of all food we eat is brought to us in part by pollinators like bees. However, with bees dying at an alarming rate, this could soon have a devastating impact on our food systems and what's on our plates.
Directed by Jeff Tremaine, a co-creator of the Jackass franchise, the campaign centers around a fun-spirited in-restaurant stunt complete with hidden cameras, all aiming to raise awareness and inspire individuals to do their part in helping the bees. The efforts include online videos, social content, in-store demos, and influencer partnerships.
The Pollinator Project microsite also provides insightful information about pollinators and offers practical tips on how they can contribute to this important cause. Plus, when visitors take the Planting for Pollinators pledge on the site, they will be entered to win a grand prize package valued at more than $3,500 consisting of a $3,000 gift card to a local garden center; a 30-minute consultation with the National Honey Board on how to make a garden pollinator-friendly; a variety of JUSTIN’S® products made possible in part by pollinators; and a National Honey Board care package to include a honey and bee-inspired culinary entertaining set valued at $500! This is all in part of Justin’s larger effort to aid pollinator conservation efforts, with nearly $100K donated already this year.
Beyond the campaign efforts, SchroderHaus recently hosted an exclusive pollinator dinner at the New York City-based restaurant, Howm Cocina & Cocktails. With a curated menu featuring ingredients pollinated by bees and an on-site observation hive, this unique event hosted 24 media and influencer guests. The National Honey Board's beekeeper was also in attendance to educate attendees on bees' crucial role in our food systems and shared ways to help preserve the declining bee population.
And as they've done for years, Justin's will continue to support esteemed organizations such as The National Honey Board, The Xerces Society, Growing Gardens, and People and Pollinators Action Network.
