Le Coq Sportif chose to pay tribute on his birthday to the greatest of all time, Diego Maradona, with a public road exclusively for him looking to the sky from the roof of the Malvinas Argentinas stadium within the grounds of Argentinos Juniors. The sports brand reissued the famous jersey with which the soccer player made us touch the sky in 86 and on his birthday, chose to show it to him in a very special way.
From a huge installation located on the roof at the football club that saw him make his debut in 1976, a message looks up to the sky so that only he can see it:
"We are privileged. To be able to make a beautiful idea for nothing more and nothing less than Diego's birthday, together with the brand that wore him in 1986, is something unique. We knew that this date would be full of greetings for El Diez and that is why we wanted to do something different: a message that spoke only to him and from the football club where he was born. That is how we installed this greeting that points directly to where Diego is. One of those goals that remain engraved forever", say Emiliano Cortez and Alejandro Rattenbach, creative directors of Grey Argentina.
Le Coq Sportif dedicates the reissue of the iconic blue jersey to him in gratitude for that unforgettable and glorious moment that moved all of us Argentines; for the magic, passion and effort that he brought to his life. For the brand, this action is also a tribute that seeks to reconnect with the passion and the feeling of union that he generated in all Argentines.
The campaign is the first work of Grey Argentina for Le Coq Sportif, who started working with the agency a few months ago.
