Following a competitive pitch, ‘Rebel Fibre’ has appointed Leagas Delaney and The Kite Factory as its Creative and Media agencies respectively. Both agencies will now work with Rebel Fibre to plan, create and execute marketing activity.
Founded and led by former BT senior executives, Tucker George and David Groth, Rebel Fibre launched in March 2022 as a challenger brand to the incumbent broadband providers (BT, Virgin, Sky, TalkTalk).
Tucker George, CEO of Rebel Fibre commented, “Rebel is the compelling, credible, and differentiated national broadband provider you’ve never heard of. Through our pitch process we were looking for partners who are as passionate about disrupting the UK telecoms market as we are - pushing boundaries, doing things differently and leading a Rebellion. The big incumbents fail to deliver the experience UK customers need and deserve, we are here to change that. Our mission is to reach customers and show them there is a different way. We found partners who share our mission in the teams at Leagas Delaney and The Kite Factory and are very excited to get going”.
Gareth Davies, CEO of Leagas Delaney said, “Rebel was founded on the belief that the current broadband market is broken but fixable. It was built to address all the identified failures in the current UK broadband market. Fair and transparent, no gotchas. It’s a dream brief and we’re thrilled to be working with Tucker, David and the rest of the Rebel team”.
Anthony Abou-Zeid, head of client services at The Kite Factory said, “The broadband category in the UK is in dire need of innovation and creativity not just in the way it communicates but also in the products it offers. It was clear that disruption, sophistication and innovation sit at the heart of Tucker and David’s vision and to have the opportunity to help shape that with Leagas Delaney and the Rebel team got us really excited.”
