With an emotive, intimate, and incredibly personal style, director Per-Hampus has established himself in Europe and America with his films for Porsche, Nike, Enel, and Cisco, as well as for his unique vision of the world - a look of beauty, dynamism, and an almost primitive emotion.
Born in a village in northern Sweden, Per-Hampus discovered his passion for directing through his other passion: snowboarding. He started out filming his friends in the snowy mountains of Sweden, but soon he was following professional athletes halfway around the world. His major international recognition came with the Nike film Never Not, a documentary that reached the top of the iTunes charts starring Olympic medallist Sage Kostenburg. Since then, his work has been recognized at numerous festivals including Cannes Lions, where he was shortlisted for the Young Director Award for his film for Ecco.
Iván Fernández, executive producer at LEE, explained: “His ability to capture small details and nuances and transform them into visually stunning pieces is what caught our attention the most about his work.”
Chalo Bonifacino Cooke, head of development at LEE: “His incredible talent, humility, and approachability are a perfect combo for us. We are thrilled to add Per to our roster of directors and hope this is the beginning of a long relationship.”
