For its new Spring/Summer campaign, Hermes chose to stage their new collection in an airborne atmosphere. They asked Lost Boys Paris (DigitasLBi) to create a launch film for the collection with director Patrick Jean, recognized for his celebrated short film Pixels.
The movie “La Flânerie” (“Wandering”) takes us on a poetic walk through the cobblestoned streets of a European capital. On this beautiful Spring morning, Hermes’ new collection enjoys a moment of freedom in the form of a fluid and aerial ballet, danced by these beautiful objects.
This subtle odyssey acts as homage to the magic moments hidden in every fold and crease of everyday life, a concept inspired by the playful and offbeat world of Jacques Tati. The Hermes movie even borrows a movement from Franck Barcellini’s soundtrack to Tati’s film “Mon Oncle”. This short film is a stroll in the heart of the wandering state of mind in which we give ourselves up to fate and desires, taking pleasure in not knowing where our daydreams will take us.
