Developed in collaboration with Meta, Media View leverages the newly released Meta Spatial SDK, allowing mobile developers and product design teams to create immersive, spatial applications for Quest.
This launch marks a significant milestone for L+R, pioneers in the field of applied emerging technologies for their clients, who initially entered the virtual reality space with their early VR prototyping tool LookSee VR in 2017. Building on that foundation, L+R continues to push the boundaries of spatial computing, applying their decade-long expertise in mobile design and development to this next wave of innovation. This announcement follows Alex Queudot’s panel at Meta Connect 2024, where he highlighted the practical applications of Meta’s Spatial SDK.
Alex Levin, co-founder of L+R, remarked, “The release of Media View showcases our evolution as a company. Since our efforts with LookSee VR, we’ve grown our capabilities in spatial computing design. This latest tool reflects our commitment to creating immersive, interactive experiences that integrate seamlessly with modern digital ecosystems.”
By utilising the Meta Spatial SDK, Media View provides a flexible and scalable platform for developers to enhance media experiences across industries such as entertainment, education, and corporate communication.
Ivan Leider, director of engineering at L+R, added, “Media View, powered by Meta’s Spatial SDK, offers developers a versatile toolkit for creating custom media experiences that adapt to varied business needs. It’s an exciting step forward in how we engage with media in virtual reality.”
