Following the success and impact of the first series, Wonderhood Studios has partnered once again with Macmillan Cancer Support and Channel 4 for the second season of the docuseries ‘Super Surgeons – A Chance At Life’.
The show follows patients undergoing ground-breaking surgery at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in London. Each of the four episodes highlights the impact of different patients' cancer diagnoses on all areas of their lives. Intertwined throughout each episode are audio clips of calls to NHS workers on the Macmillan Support Line, shining a light on the vital role the charity plays in doing whatever it takes to support people living with and affected by cancer.
The series premiered on 18th June at 9pm on Channel 4 and will air at the same time weekly over the next month.
Tonight’s episode airs at the same time as the England vs Slovenia Euros match. In a push to get people thinking, we’ve created social posts to go live before and after the match to remind people that those going through cancer and the ongoing support from surgeons and their support teams doesn’t stop just because the football is on.
