Stella Artois and Water.Org have launched their first global social impact campaign of the year to raise awareness of the global water crisis. Championed by Water.Org Co-Founder Matt Damon, the "Buy a Lady a Drink” campaign focuses on Elizabeth and and her community’s plight before and after running water became accessible.
Mother TV producer Sam Dowling "Mother asked Adelphoi for assistance in sourcing musicians from that region to provide a genuine and authentic piece of emotive music" After suggesting Brownswood Recordings critically acclaimed Owiny Sigoma Band - the writing process began with band members in both London and Nairobi. Owiny were the stand out band to assist with brief with the composition utilising their mastery of traditional Kenyan instrumentation, notability the Nyatiti an 8 stringed Lyre.
The film was shot in Kenya's Nyanza Region, home to the Luo people, and follows Elizabeth, telling her compelling story of how access to clean water relieved her from having to walk hours each day to collect water for her family. Thus allowing her the time to tap into her natural talents and work as a seamstress for her community.
