McCann Vilnius, together with Some Films and director Andrius Kirvela, recently set out to realize investment promotion agency Invest Lithuania’s goal of creating a promotional video for automotive companies across the globe with one main request - no talking heads or pie charts!
The team found a metaphor – hands – to tell a story about Lithuania’s engineers and their commitment to innovation, development and manufacturing over time. The story was built on exhaustive research and all drawings, machine blueprints and inventions are authentic marvels of Lithuanian engineering.
“We were pleasantly surprised to learn that even though this video was meant for a rather narrow audience of professionals, Invest Lithuania was keen on producing an aesthetically appealing film driven by a creative idea,” says Olga Radčenko, partner and executive producer at Some Films.
Creating authentic promotional content addressing global companies is part of Lithuania’s bigger investment-attracting strategy. In the latest fDi Intelligence rating, Vilnius ranked first in terms of Return On Investment. The rating assesses which of the efforts European cities make to increase international competitiveness and attractiveness to investors bring the most tangible benefits.
Last year, Vilnius was awarded for having one of the best investment-attracting strategies in Europe and became the third-best city of the future for foreign investment among European cities.
