With the roads of Arrabida and Cabo Espichel as a backdrop, time fluctuates and merges between past and present in beautiful new spot Sur-Film has serviced for Mercedes-Benz with production company BWGTBLD.
Sur-Film blocked roads in Arrabida and shot with Russian Arm. It also had the coastline cape Cabo Espichel as a backdrop for the scenes of the protagonist - both present and past - birdwatching. The scenes from the past were shot in 16mm, adding a warming essence to the film. One feels touched by the sentiment of the passion for what they love surviving the passage of time and are able to relate to it because it’s a universal idea - but the way this spot was shot definitely helps emphasise this feeling.
The creative minds that are The Factory decided to portray the different time zones by using digital for the present and 16mm film for the past, doting the spot with a truly unique feeling.
"It’s about not losing the passion for what you love. The notion that passion for what you love is something constant throughout the years." says the production service company.
The film was shot in Portugal in March 2019 and released online in the same year.
