FLOYD, the luxury travel accessories and luggage brand is giving modern travel its mojo back in their latest campaign. The colourful, authentic brand, inspired by the California’s '70s skateboard scene, introduces us to 'Larry', a retired bodybuilder (and miniature model maker) whose FLOYD suitcase never leaves his side.
The film captures FLOYD’s prominent ‘Venice Beach bohemian style’ whilst set at the British seaside. The TVC, stills and social films were written and directed by Jasper Cable Alexander and produced by Ash Horne in partnership with Cantsee.
FLOYD’s growing fan base of long-distance travellers, digital nomads, globetrotters and, indeed model makers, show how their travel products can elevate “every journey big or small”.
Writer and director Jasper Cable Alexander says, “We tried to capture the spirit of Floyd by blending humour, charm, and to attempt to give modern travel its mojo back, which is Floyd’s motto. Inspired by Venice Beach bodybuilder culture, we set out to create a UK version…in Hastings, East Sussex. Larry, our 62-year-old former bodybuilder turned miniature model maker shows us what’s inside his Floyd suitcase in a mockumentary style. Dan, the actor who plays Larry, is actually a champion body builder so we played on actual realities. It’s a celebration of life’s unexpected journeys, with Floyd as the perfect companion for every step.”
