Momentum Worldwide, a global experiential agency, has launched a ground breaking campaign in collaboration with CEAFA (Spanish Association Against Alzheimer's and other Dementias) to raise awareness about early onset Alzheimer's amongst the youth (gen z) of Spain. The campaign features the first ever immersive simulator on the Fortnite video game, allowing players to experience the symptoms of Alzheimer's in a virtual world including disorientation, memory glitches and time and space dissociation.
Rodri González, Spain executive creative director at Momentum Worldwide commented, ‘Experience the reality of living with this disease and gain a new level of understanding and empathy. The campaign includes influential Spanish gamers trying out the simulator without prior knowledge, capturing their authentic reactions in a video’.
CEAFA commented ‘For the first time everyone will truly know what having Alzheimer feels like. This campaign can break barriers with gen z, raising awareness and making them more involved in the fight of the disease.’
To experience the excitement and unpredictability of the Fortnite Island like never before! We've invited some of the biggest Spanish gamers to test it out, completely unaware of what awaits them. ‘We really want people to discover the importance of raising awareness about Alzheimer's, especially across gen z in Spain. Even at a tender age of 19, one young boy was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, making him the youngest patient ever. Understanding the symptoms is crucial for early detection. Let's join forces in spreading this crucial knowledge’. adds Rodri González.
