US production agency, Bonfire Labs, once again commissioned moremilk to handle all aspects of this UK production. With three weeks to prep the project, the shoot days spanned five days throughout September - in London, Manchester and Burton on Trent – with the film returning to San Francisco for post-production.
Working closely with both Google and The FA, moremilk organised the filming of a number of high-profile interviews that highlighted the relationship between the two organisations. Football ‘athletes’ were cast via an agency, with youth football teams and additional performers being street-cast. A reduced unit captured match footage from an England game at Wembley stadium.
The coordination of logistics were challenging. moremilk used two location managers and a core shoot team from London, with local crew and suppliers being used wherever possible.
moremilk producer Liam Winn said: “We brought together a strong team that worked quickly with director Bryan Rawles, shooting multiple interview setups and locations each day with the usual restrictions that come will working with talent. We shot with two cameras throughout, which not only meant we could cross-shoot our interviews but that our lighting and camera teams could leapfrog ahead to prep locations”.
