Beginning April 1st, Esurance will offer a unique homeowners insurance policy, Election Insurance. The policy protects people’s abandoned homes for the next four years while they flee the United States following a presidential election.
“Every four years, we hear from countless dissatisfied Americans who threaten to leave the country if the ‘wrong’ candidate is elected into office,” said Alan Gellman, chief marketing officer at Esurance. “This year, we’re very pleased to announce our newest innovation—Election Insurance. If your preferred candidate loses the election, Esurance will protect your home so you can move out of the country worry free.”
Election Insurance is the smart way to protect your home while you wait out the presidential term. Homeowners can choose between standard policy options that include weekly home maintenance and premium options such as the “holiday overachiever,” which gives you piece of mind knowing your holiday lights and yard décor will keep up with the Joneses. There’s even a platinum option that simulates a teenage breakup to give your home an authentic lived-in feel.
“Election Insurance illustrates how we’re always looking for modern ways to improve the customer experience and help people make smart insurance decisions,” said Nancy Abraham, vice president of integrated marketing communications at Esurance. “It also inserts Esurance into a timely, relevant conversation during a lively election season that people are closely following.”
