OB’s Jake Erland Directs beabadoobee’s Charming One Shot Music Video

Following the success of last year's ‘Glue Song’, OB director Jake Erland and artist beabadoobee worked closely to conceptualise this charming one shot music video full of ballerinas, a butler and of course, Bea herself.

Jacob Erland is a London based director. He started shooting skate videos at 17, from here his career evolved into directing music videos and fashion films. This was kick started by a fruitful collaboration with the fashion brand Palace.

He aims to create characterful imagery, from which every frame could work as a still. His core inspirations sit in the ‘90s to millenium fashion photography and from the ‘80s to ‘90s cinema. Jacob feels lucky to work in a time where he can be inspired by this period and use modern cinema technology to expand on his ideas. Taking the style of an image and pushing it even further.

His clients include Palace, Vans, Louis Vuitton, Sergio Tachinni, Merrell, On Running and he has directed music videos for the likes of Shy Girl, Beabadoobee and Jamie T.
