Global creative agency Imagination and automotive giant Jaguar Land Rover has teamed up with Pebble Studios, a leading production company known for its innovative visual storytelling, to launch the highly anticipated Defender OCTA. This collaboration has resulted in a breathtaking animation that encapsulates the rugged elegance and unparalleled capability of the new Defender OCTA.
As part of a wider creative campaign, spearheaded by the team at Imagination, Pebble Studios were selected to help launch the vehicle to a HNW target market, capturing the essence of the vehicle’s adventurous spirit, advanced engineering and urban appeal.
Helen Bellringer, creative director of Imagination said, “We were looking for a production partner that shared our vision for the concept. With Pebble Studios, we found a team who clearly understood, and were excited by, the creative ambition for the film and through their treatment showed us how far we could take the idea.”
Pebble Studios set out to create an arresting filmic experience that guides the viewer through the creation of the Defender OCTA.
By combining detailed, technical and beautiful 3D animation techniques with stunning cinematography, Pebble Studios built a world that visualised the marriage of rugged performance and style through the creation of dynamic and reactive environments, soundwaves, detailed 3D product features and the power of OCTA mode - all building in perfect sync to the growing beat of our music track, brilliantly crafted by the team at Father.
Mark Witherow, executive producer of Pebble Studios said, "We’ve loved every minute of working on this project with the team at Imagination. From the first chemistry meeting through to final delivery, there has been an inherently collaborative approach to production, giving us the confidence to push the boundaries of what could be achieved with the concept."
The immersive experience has enjoyed great success on it’s global roadshow since May 2024, with the new product and campaign launching to the general public in July 2024.
