Pizza Pizza is celebrating a new year of its popular Fixed-Rate Pizza promotion in a way you might not expect: by transforming itself into a bank.
Launching January 26th, the new campaign portrays Pizza Pizza as a fanciful new Pizza Bank, dedicated to helping Canadians get the best rates on their pizza. The campaign is promoting a new year of the Fixed-Rate Pizza, a four-topping XL pizza for a low price — $17.99 — that’s guaranteed not to increase all year.
The new Fixed-Rate Pizza continues Pizza Pizza’s core brand belief that “Everyone Deserves Pizza” – keeping it more affordable for all pizza lovers, even as inflation and mortgage rates rise.
The original Fixed-Rate Pizza launched in July 2022, letting Canadians “lock in” to a price on pizza that was guaranteed not to increase for 12 months. The promotion was so successful that the initial price guarantee was extended to 18 months, despite the rising cost of ingredients. To date, more than two million Fixed-Rate Pizzas have been sold. The campaign was also widely recognised for its creativity and effectiveness including winning three Effies in 2023.
“Canadians appreciate good value, and with Fixed-Rate Pizza, you’ll continue to have more dough in your pocket — and your belly,” said Adrian Fuoco, Pizza Pizza’s vice president of marketing. “Canadians can bank on this price not increasing all year.”
“When you have a big success like the Fixed-Rate Pizza, the challenge is taking it to the next level,” said Brian Murray, chief creative officer at Zulu Alpha Kilo, which created the campaign with Pizza Pizza.
This year, the Fixed-Rate Pizza has a new rate but the same commitment to keeping pizza affordable for Canadians. The Fixed-Rate Pizza will be available throughout 2024 only at Pizza Pizza restaurants, online at pizzapizza.ca and by phone at Pizza Pizza’s iconic “11-11” telephone numbers across the country.
The Fixed-Rate Pizza was created in partnership with Zulu Alpha Kilo and is being launched in an integrated national campaign. Paid media is planned by Media Experts, including TV, OLV, social ads, display, SEM and OOH, while spPR manages PR.
