Campaign by Publicis•Poke responds to Twitter accounts affected by summer airport disruptions

In a tactical campaign ‘Keep Your Holiday Afloat’, P&O Ferries is targeting those affected by flight cancellations and summer disruptions at airports.

In an idea created by Publicis•Poke, P&O Ferries will offer a 20% discount on their Dover to Calais route - reminding passengers that there is another way to travel, keeping their summer holidays afloat.

The campaign targets Twitter users that have tweeted about being affected by air travel disruption: P&O Ferries’ Twitter account will respond to those affected, offering a 20% discount which can be redeemed by entering their flight number on P&O Ferries’ website, to help save their summer holidays. 

The tactical campaign is an evolution of P&O Ferries’ recent ‘There Is Another Way’ campaign which launched in May. 

Jo Harvey, customer and marketing director at P&O Ferries said, “Summer holidays are a time of year that everyone looks forward to, with cancellations being announced by airlines we didn’t want people to lose out on their holidays. We wanted to provide people with an opportunity to try a new way of holidaying to keep their summer breaks alive and by providing their flight number they could unlock a 20% discount to alleviate the stress.”
