Merman director, LACEY, helmed the latest campaign for Estée Lauder featuring Amanda Gorman, the activist, award-winning writer and youngest inaugural poet in US history. In 2021, Amanda was named the Estée Lauder global changemaker and brand ambassador in a multi-year partnership - the same year that she read her poem 'The Hill We Climb' at the Presidential Inauguration. Since then, Amanda has appeared in a series of Estée Lauder spots that celebrate the brand and its initiatives supporting equality and social impact. LACEY directed the new Spring 2024 instalment with the theme and powerful messaging that “confidence inspires change”.
“Amanda was so amazing to work with.” said LACEY. “ She is a poet, an artist, and a changemaker. I believe we captured that and all her strength, purpose and beauty in this spot. Our decision to shoot in an XR studio enabled us to focus on Amanda’s compelling performance against a backdrop of stunning exterior and interior environments.”
