Domestic accidents that require first aid to save lives sometimes seem far away. People used to think that death could only happen in serious, big accidents and that only doctors or specialists have the power to do something about it.
Every year, the Red Cross puts this subject on their social agenda to create awareness about the importance of knowing first aid by showing relatable and everyday situations that show how one can help without being a doctor or a specialist. The idea is to let people know that we all have the capacity to help in a moment of crisis.
In the latest Red Cross campaign from Dhélet Y&R, a man warns the people he is eating dinner with that he will choke, running them through every stage of the dramatic occurrence, but ultimately admitting that because none of them have first aid training he will still die.
