Publicis London campaign promises Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% Electric owners their money back if they split up after buying one

Publicis London and Renault UK have teamed up to launch the first-ever Relationship Breakdown Cover, promising purchasers of the recently launched Scenic E-Tech 100% Electric model ‘marital bliss’ or their money back. 

According to exclusive research by Renault UK, over a fifth (21%) of Brits say taking the wrong direction causes the most arguments between them and their partner in the car, followed by 20% who say it is due to the way their partner drives. Investigating the deciding factors that ensure in-car couple harmony, the survey also revealed that the top three car features that help improve moods are comfortable seats (42%), a great sound system (26%) and lots of space for everyone (26%).

Renault’s research led to it declaring its Renault Scenic, already voted Car of the Year by an international panel of 58 judges from 22 countries back in February, the perfect family car. To demonstrate how confident Renault are that the Scenic E-Tech 100% Electric meets all the criteria to finally end ‘car-guments’ - including comfort, space, and a top of the range sound-system - the brand will offer married retail cash buyers a money back-guarantee if they split before the end of 2024.

The concept, created and executed by Publicis London, will be rolled out nationwide. The offer is valid for all purchases of a Renault Scenic made between 1st January 2024 and 31st December 2024.
