Creative impact agency Rise has recently collaborated extensively with Dutch startup TinyOcean, a pioneer in regenerative and circular aquaculture, to build a strong brand identity. From the foundation of brand positioning and branding to the development of an inspiring brand video, Rise has captured TinyOcean's vision and mission: a healthy and sustainable future for our oceans. The video was created in collaboration with Vigics and directed by Océane Combeau.
TinyOcean, founded by Michaël Laterveer and Peter Bongaards, represents the union of scientific knowledge and practical fish expertise. Michaël, a biologist and scientist, and Peter, a fish specialist, have combined their strengths to offer an innovative solution for the growing demand for sustainable seafood and ocean restoration.
"We wanted to bring our intrinsic motivation – the human story – to the forefront with the brand film," says Michael Laterveer, co-founder of TinyOcean. "Our oceans are in crisis, and it is time for a new approach. This film helps us find the right partners and investors who share our story and mission as a start up."
Rise has built the positioning from the ground up in collaboration with Circular Clarity. Subsequently, their team developed the visual identity and overall communication, culminating in the recent brand film that powerfully conveys TinyOcean’s story and objectives. The film emphasises the need to live within the planet's boundaries and shows how TinyOcean contributes to a healthy and sustainable future for our oceans.

"Building a brand is just as important as the nature based method we use," adds Peter Bongaards, co-founder of TinyOcean. "Our innovation in fish farming must go hand in hand with a strong brand identity that resonates with and inspires people. Rise has helped us articulate this story clearly and powerfully."
