Cannes Lions Young Director alumni Zornitsa Dimitrova has signed to the RSA UK roster.
Zornitsa's directing style blends precision with improvisation. Focusing on her passion for the portrayal of strong women, her powerful, character-driven storytelling combines a distinctive angle with a beautifully cinematic visual style.
A graduate of the Directing for Advertising Program at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, Germany, the Berlin based director first made a name for herself following multiple prestigious award wins for her diploma short film, ‘A Dark Moment of Faith’ (2021), including four individual ‘Young Director’ Gold Screen Awards at Cannes Lions. The film was also featured at numerous film festivals, globally, including Venezia Shorts, Ciclope, Aesthetica, and Hollywood Shortsfest.
With an already-extensive catalogue of work with clients such as McDonald’s, eBay and HEAD, Zornitsa looks to continue developing her renowned creative talents at RSA.
“To say I’m a fan of Zornitsa as a human and a director goes without saying. Her ability to tell a story that packs a punch is insatiable. Her short film ‘A Dark Moment of Faith’ is a hard watch due to the subject but the direction and craft to bring that story to life is second to none. Welcome to RSA, Zori.” said Josie Juneau, head of advertising, RSA.
