Ahead of the Ryder Cup golf tournament in Paris on September 25-30, Workday, a leader in enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, is launching a global campaign titled, “A Partner Like No Other” with a 60-second spot created by 215 McCann. The spot draws a parallel between one of the most well-known partnerships in sports, a golfer and his/her caddie, and Workday, by portraying Workday as a “business caddie” and the trusted partner for organisations of all sizes and across all industries.
True to form for a company that lists “fun” as one of its core values, the Workday spot takes a humorous approach to convey its relentless focus on providing customers with the insights and guidance they need to help drive their business forward. The spot portrays pro golfer and Workday golf ambassador, Phil Mickelson, as the “business caddie” for a top executive, played by actor Andy Buckley. The omniscient Mickelson advises the executive on crucial staffing decisions, makes production and financial recommendations, and helps increase the office’s overall efficiency, leaving the executive with unexpected free time for a Saturday game of golf.
The campaign will run across television, OOH, digital, print, and social, and target the U.S. market as well as in UK, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Japan.
