Taking as a starting point the theme of the movie, where a group of farmers is threatened by the arrival of the Empire's ships with the aim of taking their harvest; Sabritas, in partnership with Netflix, recreated the story to place it in the Sabritas potato plantations; and develop a unique partnership that includes a five-minute short film, social media content and a great promotion that includes 'the spoils of the empire' represented in money and other technology prizes.
This partnership will be the first in the world to feature a short film reduction on the Netflix platform, and will be available as a prequel to the film.
The idea was developed by Slap Global and the short film was directed by Nico Perez Veiga in the Sabritas plantations and starred some of its workers.
The post production was in charge of El Ranchito, known for having worked in 'The Society of the Snow' and 'The Impossible'.
The campaign will air starting March 18th on Netflix, TV, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and FB.
