The whole picture appeared in Sevphoe's (another persona of one of the Polish rap artists) dream and he translated it into the video language. The artist cooperated with Piotr Matejkowski the director. When it comes to Piotr's directing, one can always expect something captivating and thought-provoking. The result is more than just a music video, it's an art.
The concept behind the video was to teeter on the fine line between kitsch and art, without crossing over into either extreme. An exaggeration but with a taste. How to tell a great story and not reveal everything? It’s not easy to move through such aesthetics, as it’s easy to make a mistake and lose balance.
The director's inspiration was artists like Jodorvsky and Lynch. He was looking for a space where anxiety and mysteriousness could be expressed.
The post-production job on this project was compositing both worlds- shoot material and CGI.
As the volcano was part of the scenography made by Karolina Rgozka and Formy Scenograficzne - all the rest is a story told by CGI. Including the Vulcano extension, and CG rocks around it. The simulation of smoke and fog helped place the main character and Vulcano in the overall environment.
Matte Paintings of landscapes created in cooperation with Filip Popik (aka rybskie) had to be kept in an accurate mood of the story. All together: the oniric desert with a vulcano gives a feeling of another planet! The portal was quite challenging- we had to keep it in an atmosphere of kitsch yet still make this VFX look quality.
By skilfully combining practical effects and CGI elements, the team was able to create a stunning visual experience that transports the audience into a mesmerising otherworldly universe.
“We love to work with such creative artists 'cause they bring so much passion and energy to the projects. The adventure we had together was a great artistic journey! Thank You Moon Films and Siasia Seyfried (Producer) for this opportunity.” says TELEVISOR
