A milestone was met when Icelandic post-rock group, Sigur Ros, licensed their first ever track for a TV commercial last month with Nissan.
Warner Music France were briefed by agency TBWA on the upcoming ‘X-Trail’ campaign and pitched 2005 track ‘Saeglopur’ back in September 2017.
Both agency and brand fell in love with the track, and Jonsi Bergisson and fellow band members approved the use of their iconic track. Leading to Sigur Ros’ first commercial sync deal to date.
But why now?
