Simply Business' Musical Extravaganza Shakes Up Insurance

Truant film from Blink director Fred Rowson features a reimagined version of the Tina Turner classic ‘The Best’

With nearly one million UK customers, Simply Business is one of the UK's biggest providers of business insurance. In 2024 they tasked their agency of record, Truant, with a new brand campaign to grow their brand awareness and recognition in the minds of business owners across the UK. 

Simply Business wanted to capture the feeling of knowing your business, and livelihood, is protected, in a spirited, uplifting, and memorable way – ensuring the SME community knows Simply Business is there to help when it’s time to purchase insurance. Along with driving attention and interest, ensuring the brand name ‘Simply Business’ is front of mind is important. 

The film is an insurance commercial turned epic music video, which reimagines the world famous song The Best, switching the hero lyric to 'Simply Business'. The film starts in an ordinary office setting – just like you’d expect most business commercials to begin – before making an U-turn into an incredible world of glitz, glamour and sequins. 

The protagonist dances viewers through a building site, a bakery and a beauty salon, all of which are insured through Simply Business. The song aims to earworm its way into the minds of business owners everywhere! 

Launching on 16th August, the ‘Simply The Best’ campaign will run across national TV, VOD, and online – led by Simply Business media partners MI Media and Brainlabs. It will kick off with a high-profile ad break on Sky Sports during the Premier League’s opening game and feature around key Paralympic Games coverage. 

Associate creative director, George Bartlett, said, “‘The Best’ is one of the most memorable songs of all time- so a no brainer really. Simply The Best. Simply Biz-ness. Our sincerest apologies for getting it stuck in everyone’s heads… but that was the idea.”

We’re excited about the new work which celebrates this feeling with the help of an all time classic track.”
