Skittles and DDB revisit 1990s workout videos to promote new gummies range.
The new ads from Skittles bring viewers to a 1990’s-era workout class, with an instructor taking a Skittles gummy and squishing it between her fingers, having her class follow the lead. In another spot, a curious viewer of the exercise tape is inspired to try and squish Skittles gummies for himself.
And, true to that era, there is a 1-800 number. When viewers call 1-833-GUMMIES, they’ll hear a soothing script from the workout instructor, encouraging them to squish their way to a life way beyond their dreams, and giving tips for how to easily squish and visualise this future.
