Starting his professional life as a graphic designer and animator, Slim Jim quickly fell under the mesmeric spell of After Effects and moving image. Having spent much of his childhood glued to the family handycam, there was an organic evolution to becoming a filmmaker. Slim Jim's work is multidisciplinary, combining powerful storytelling, playful graphics and skilful edits to create highly engaging films for the likes of Puma, G-Shock, RNLI and Ministry of Sound. Whilst sports and lifestyle are his main genres, he has a knack for directing talent, be it real people in his documentaries or professional actors in his commercial work. His short films have repeatedly been selected for Vimeo's Staff Pick and his work has been awarded some of the top industry accolades at the likes of Creative Circle, Kinsale Shark Awards and Creative Pool.
Johnny Foreigner founder and MD Olivia Hirschberg comments, 'It was really clear when looking at Slim Jim's work and chatting to him in person that he has a huge amount to offer our clients. He’s an intelligent, intuitive and well-rounded creative person whose passion for his craft is clearly visible in his films. Covering all different genres, his films have a common thread and that is an engaging, upbeat energy which is highly attractive. We have already had some interesting briefs in for him and we look forward to working together’
