Sonixphere, a global resource connected to everything music and sound, recently took home two prestigious Communicator Awards.
The Communicator’s “Award Of Excellence For Original Music” was presented to two different spots featuring original scores by Sonixphere.
Get Real About Diabetes’ “Uncomfortably Close” (Rogue Producer, BCW) features a jarring score – reinforcing the uncomfortable and direct message from spokesperson Anthony Anderson. Uniquely, the score begins with nearly four seconds of complete silence, as Anderson finally breaks the tension with the question, “This making you uncomfortable?” From there the score modulates from nerve-wracking tension as Anthony describes the dangers of diabetes, to positive and hopeful as Anderson empowers the viewer by imploring them to talk to their health care providers about managing their diabetes.
Breathe Right’s “Strip On” (Rogue producer, Inizio Evoke) campaign picks up where the previous year’s campaign left off – with a series of hilarious anecdotes about people who like to “strip” just about anywhere. Of course we’re talking about using Breathe Right Strips, not the other kind of stripping. To amplify the message and the humour, Sonixphere created an original score in one of the most sensual musical styles, the tango. The beauty of this score is that it leaves the perfect spaces to punctuate each humorous quip, while also utilising the agility of the violin and piano to cue the comical dialog and visuals.
