Music and sound company SoStereo has welcomed Elijah Torn as its new head of production.
Favouring the blend of visual and musical storytelling, Elijah comes from a background in art and cites this as his reason for understanding how to speak music in a language anyone can understand. He cut his teeth doing audio restoration at The Criterion Collection, and he has since spent the past 18 years as a global executive creative director and head of creative production.
Over that time, Elijah has helped brands, agencies, producers, and composers translate their ideas through music strategy, sound design and original compositions. His campaigns with Coca-Cola have been a career highlight for the freedom the creative team granted, allowing music to be fully leveraged to foster human connection.
Now at SoStereo, Elijah will continue to work with brands and creatives not only to influence, but also define, culture. He will be utilising the company’s passion, creativity, and data to tie brands to artists and composers that truly align with their ethos; in particular, he will help brands to embrace independent artists, going beyond simply following trends to be an impactful part of up-and-coming talent’s zeitgeist.
Elijah Torn commented, “SoStereo’s platform and services are not only valuable for the brands and creatives it works with, but they also provide real, tangible value for its artists and composers too. As a musician first and foremost, I want music to be valued and SoStereo can definitely help empower musicians and certainly add to their career in any way, at any stage. That gets me excited and speaks to my heart.”
Lindsey Camerota, SoStereo CEO, added, "We're so lucky to have Elijah Torn join the team here at SoStereo. Elijah is an industry vet who manages to preserve the humility, hunger and curiosity that first launched his career in music and advertising. We're excited to provide new and enhanced services to our clients with his impressive background."
