Argos will this week release the 30-second ‘Operation School Run’ TV spot showcasing that customers can now buy back-to-school uniform ranges from Tu clothing through Argos.
The ad follows a not-so-typical first day back as Mum and Dad make sure the kids have all their uniform in check before they set off for school – by parachuting out the back of the family Chinook with Mum in tow.
The campaign was created by Dan Dehlavi and Hayley Hammond and directed by Matthijs Van Heijningen through MJZ.
The ad, which will also run on digital and social, is a follow-up to its ‘Operation Holiday’ campaign which launched in April, which places Argos at the heart of modern family life.
Yan Elliott, Joint ECD at The&Partnership London, said: “Even the school run feels like a military operation sometimes. With Argos you’re as good to go as humanly possible!”
Gary Kibble, Marketing Director at Argos, said: “The campaign is a great follow up to ‘Operation Holiday’, connecting with busy parents as they begin their mission to get the kids ready for school in September.”
Argos customers can order Tu clothing online by 2pm for next day home delivery or free Click & Collect from 1,100 Sainsbury’s and Argos stores across the country.
