Havas Lynx has launched its latest campaign with Cure Usher Syndrome.
'The Touchable Memory' has launched in the UK to raise awareness about Usher Syndrome, a condition that causes the loss of hearing and sight on varied degrees. Over 11,000 people in the UK and 400,000 globally have been diagnosed with the condition with a misdiagnosis rate of 40%.
The emotional film created by Havas Lynx showcases the Untouchable Memory Device and it’s ability to connect those who struggle with Usher Syndrome with their loved ones. Cambridge Design Partnership created the device that transforms stimuli such as sounds and music into vibrations; creating an unforgettable memory.
Alex Okada, chief creative officer at Havas Lynx said, “Since the condition is still incurable, we had to be very careful how to raise awareness without spreading fear. The device was a way to grab attention but the emotional connection between the sisters is what made it meaningful.”
