This Winter, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (THPF) was faced with a problem. How can you encourage people not to consume toxic out-of-season vegetables?
Given that even thoroughly washing vegetables gives no guarantee of cleanliness, Leo Burnett Bangkok and THPF have found the only 100% secure way to eat clean vegetables.
And the only safe way to eat organically is to eat vegetables when they’re in-season. When it’s off-season, farmers use chemical fertilisers in order to artificially accelerate the natural growing process. Some fertilisers contain toxic chemicals, which leads to serious health issues for consumers.
To make Thai people aware of this fact and eat non-hazardous vegetables, this madcap film encourages consumers not to offer off-season vegetable dishes to people you really care for, even if they REALLY want it. Through the campaign, the THPF aims to discourage farmers from cultivating off-season vegetables for good.
