For the fourth year in a row, Leo Burnett Madrid have released an abitious, emotional film to announce the Spanish Christmas Lottery.
This year the film is directed by famous Spanish-Chilean filmmaker Alejandro Amenábar, director of The Others and The Sea Inside. The film tells the story of Danielle, an alien who lands on Earth, specifically in Madrid, and her cute dog. She meets the friendly Daniel in the queue for the big prize draw. He buys her a ticket and together they enjoy the sites, sounds and smells of the city at Christmas.
Since the first film in in 2014 the Christmas Lottery announcements have been getting more and more ambitious and this trend continues in 2017. The 3:30 short film is a cutdown of a 20-minute version, which tells the enchanting story of the alien’s tour of Madrid and her relationship with her gracious host, Daniel, as well as his housemate Edu.
