IKEA Canada’s latest creative campaign from Rethink spotlights the kitchens and the brand-new line of bathrooms. IKEA is launching the campaign with a new commercial titled ‘Coming Home’, which follows a young woman coming home after a night out. Set to the iconic tune of Creep by TLC, we see the hero quietly tiptoeing through her multi-generational home, so she doesn’t wake her grandma, who has fallen asleep in the living room.
The commercial spotlights IKEA Canada’s new lower priced products and solutions through the kitchen design, which showcases the functionality and versatility of IKEA kitchens all while being affordably priced. The UPPDATERA tray for soft-close drawers allows our character to sneak around for a late-night snack. The campaign also highlights the new bathroom range, including the TREASJÖN soft-close mirror cabinet that’s designed with integrated lighting and soft-close hinges.
The campaign ‘Coming Home’ will be supported by digital placements and OOH visuals that showcase dream kitchens and bathrooms side by side with the real-life moments that take place within them. IKEA worked with photographer Maya Visnyei to capture these playful, engaging, and visually straightforward scenarios. The campaign reinforces that with IKEA, you can design your spaces to be inspirational and functional while still being affordably priced.
This campaign also reinforces IKEA Canada’s investment of $80M in price reductions. In June, the brand embarked on another journey to reduce prices across key families within the kitchen range including SEKTION, MAXIMERA, and UTRUSTA.
“IKEA kitchens and bathrooms aren’t just beautifully designed spaces. They’re hardworking rooms where real life at home happens.” said Jonelle Ricketts, head of marketing at IKEA Canada. “We’re excited to launch our new campaign that highlights the affordable solutions that so many Canadians need to bring their dream kitchens and bathrooms to life. Whether you’re refreshing your space with smart solutions or fully renovating your kitchen or bathroom, IKEA can help.”
