M&C SAATCHI Chilanga and Toyotathon are getting Mexico to dance with the familiar beat of Los Angeles Azules
For the third year in a row, the Chilangos agency has launched the Toyotathon campaign, which is the most important celebration and season of the year for Toyota.
This time, they aimed to capture the festive spirit of the event and take advantage of the fact that Toyota has earned a special place in the hearts of Mexicans with a campaign that makes everyone dance at the rhythm of Thon, thon, thon of the Toyotathon, with the famous and renowned Mexican group Los Angeles Azules, known for their joyful and contagious music, setting everyone's hearts aflutter.
The integrated campaign includes a comprehensive media plan, both online and offline, spreading the Thon Thon Thon rhythm everywhere. They've also incorporated a digital element that brings the real world of 'sonidero' parties to the world of cars, showcasing various Toyota models in a catchy and dynamic way.
Regarding the campaign, Pedro Villegas, creative director of the agency, added, "We wanted to convey the same familiarity and trust that Toyota cars already have in Mexico. Since Toyotathon is the brand's celebration, there was no one better than Los Angeles Azules to celebrate and represent those values."
On the other hand, Jose Carlos Bello, associate creative director of the agency, added, "Mexico is a country of joy, enjoyment, and following what the heart wants. We open dance floors at weddings, "quinceañeras, and baptisms with Los Angeles Azules so this song had to be the chosen one to represent the anthem of Toyotathon.
