Trainline Gives Spanish Football Fans an Unforgettable Start

DUDE London campaign reinforces Trainline’s belief that every great journey starts with a great beginning to football

This Summer, Trainline announced the sponsorship of Real Betis Balompié, one of Spain’s most popular Spain’s LALIGA  teams. The train ticket app brand wanted to embrace the Béticos passion and community by helping them follow their team, thought to be some of the most passionate fans in the country. 

Understanding that being a football fan is about more than just attending matches, the train ticket app invited three Beticos (Betis fans) who had never been to the world famous Benito Villamarín stadium to the game against Atletico de Madrid on 27th October.

On match day, 76 year old Kety Ruiz, 17 year old Issac Campillo, a Madrid-based computer scientist and Christian Ortega and his young son Aaron were welcomed by 52,000 fans during the half time break. An emotional day made even better as  Betis won the game against an unbeaten Atlético de Madrid 1-0.

Created by DUDE London, the Unforgettable Starts campaign is part of Trainline's sponsorship platform 'Next Stop: where passion takes us' (Proxima Parada: Donde La Pasion Nos Lleve) and is running across social media, digital and online video channels from today.
