Caesars Superdome. Caesar Salad. Coincidence? Uber Eats thinks not. For the food delivery app, the salad-named stadium is just the tip of the iceberg.
This Super Bowl season, Uber Eats is turning its conspiracy - that football was, in fact, invented to make you hungry - into a larger-than-life reality. Partnering with the NFL and Caesars Superdome, the stadium that will play host to the Chiefs and Eagles on February 9th, Uber Eats and agency Special US, created a stadium takeover that makes America’s favourite salad impossible to miss.
Placing large green banners over the stadium's logo on the exterior, the name of the venue was turned into 'Caesars Salad?', prompting onlookers to ask the question, if football wasn’t made to make you hungry... how do you explain the Caesars Superdome?
The flags also had a QR code, directing people to the app - with which people in New Orleans, New York, LA, Houston, Miami and more can now order Martha Stewart's Super Bowl Caesars Salad.
The brand also dropped some new teaser films, including one that brings Matthew McConaughey and Martha Stewart together in the kitchen. In the spot, the Texan actor is cooking up some fresh conspiracies - but Martha simply isn’t going along with it. In a nod to her iconic interview, she just wants to focus on her salad, instead.
The full Uber Eats Super Bowl spot will air during the match on February 9th, revealing how all of these conspiratorial elements, and the previous teaser material with Charli xcx all blends together.
